Unmarried athletes or fans having sex in the 2022 world cup would be jailed for 7 years – Qatari government
The Qatari government has issued a low that prohibits and form of public misbehavior or sexual fornication, as it’s a Muslim nation and defaulters would be sentenced to 7 years imprisonment.
In addition, partying and drinking or the use of intoxicating hard drugs is highly prohibited, and other forms of social events during the tournaments.
According to a report by Daily Star, the country plans to enforce the ban and not exclude foreign fans who would be in the country for the duration of the tournament.
“Sex is very much off the menu, unless you are coming as a husband and wife team. There definitely will be no one-night stands at this tournament.
“There will be no partying at all really. Everyone needs to keep their heads about them, unless they want to risk being stuck in prison.
“There is essentially a sex ban in place at this year’s World Cup for the first time ever. Fans need to be prepared,” a police source added was quoted as stating.
They made it known in a statement that Qatar is a welcoming country, where millions of people visits yearly, but they frown at unruly behaviors as it could be bad for the world cup.
