Ogun Owo church leaders released after abductors receives ransom – N1m, gin and rice

Two members of the celestial church of Christ in Owo ogun state, where the unfortunate event of massacre happened by the unknown gunmen, has been released.

Their names are Oshofa, Wasimi, in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, and they were released by their abductors after the public mounted pressures on the police to succumb toΒ  the demand of the kidnappers.

1 million naira in cash, rice and cigarettes among others, were offered to the abductors in exchange for the freedom of the church leaders.

Founder of the church, Oluwatomisin Olugbebi said Assistant Shepherd (assistant pastor) of the parish, Oluwaseun Ajose, and a Sunday school teacher, Dagunro Ayobami were released on Saturday June 18.

Though the kidnappers reduced the ransom from N50m to N10m last Thursday, Olugbebi said only N1m, cigarettes, gin, beans and rice were given as ransom.

The state police command of ogun state have also confirmed the release.
