Maker Of ‘Squid Game’, Hwang Dong-hyuk Confirms Season 2

Hwang Dong-hyuk, the creator and director of “Squid Game”, has confirmed that the second season for the Netflix TV series is about hit the screens.

He made this known in an interview at an event for the series, as he also said there would be a plot twist in the second season.
According to him, one of the major character in the movie, Gi-hun, would be back to do “something for the world”.

Hwang Dong-hyuk noted that, the team is left with no other option than to create a second season, due to the success of the series.

He said:

“I almost feel like you leave us no choice.

There’s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season.”

He also added that the second season is already in progress.

He said:

“It’s in my head right now. I’m in the planning process currently. But I do think it’s too early to say when and how that’s going to happen. So I will promise you this, Gi-hun will be back and he’ll do something for the world.”
