Nkem Owoh is a Nigerian actor born in Amagu Village, Udi Town, Enugu State, Nigeria, on October 17th, 1960. He attended his primary and post-primary education in Nsukka, in Enugu State before attending the Univerisity of Illorin to study Electrical Engineering. Before even graduating, he started acting and got several roles in both TV series and screen productions. During this time, Nollywood wasn’t as big as it is now.

Controversies and fruad claims
On few occasions, his Movie role has affected bhim in real life. Back In 2007, the actor found himself in the prison cell after being arrested in Amsterdam when police stormed the venue of a musical performance in which he was part of. The Dutch security operatives was investigating his infringement on immigration laws and fraud in lotteries for about seven months before Owoh was caught in the middle of Operation Apollo which targeted 419 scam architect. The actor was later released after not found quilty.
