Drake Reacts To Retirement Of Jorge Masvidal
In an Instagram Story post on Sunday night, Drake referred to Jorge Masvidal as a “street legend” and a “UFC goat.” Masvidal declared his retirement after losing to Gilbert Burns in UFC 287’s co-main event. Masvidal’s fourth consecutive defeat came by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, and 29-28). “Hats off to a great man,” Drake wrote on Instagram.
“I love everybody here,” Masvidal said after the fight over the weekend. “This is where I started my career. It’s been a long 20 years, 50-some fights. Sometimes your favorite basketball player don’t have that 3-pointer no more. Your favorite quarterback loses that rifle. I don’t feel the same when I get in here no more. It’s been 20 long years.”
