Full Biography of Patience Ozokwor
Patience Ozokwor was born on March 25, 1958, in Ngwo, Enugu State, Nigeria. She spent majority of her life there before relocating to Lagos where she attended the Abimbola Gibson Memorial School. Later on, she went on to attend the Women Training College.
She furthered her education, by attending the Institute of Management and Technology Enugu where she obtained a degree in Fine and Applied Arts. Following her graduation, she began teaching in a secondary school. After few years of teaching, she went into broadcasting where she worked with a radio station as a radio announcer and newscaster.
Prior to her introduction into Nollywood as an actress, Patience Ozokwor first made it into the radio drama. She was assisting school dropouts to futher their education and she also helped them develop entrepreneurial skills in different things.
A close look at her acting career, reveals she rose gently first by taking part in a commercials, followed by a soap opera on the National Television Authority (NTA), Someone Cares.
Due to her acting expertise, she was invited to act in a movie. In 1999, she was a part of the highly successful and popular movie, “Authority”. The movie made her very popular and soon she was acting lots of movies.

The veteran actress got married at the age of 19 in a marriage arranged by her parents.
In a recent interview, she revealed that although she had many suitors at the time, her parents pressured her to get married at that early age for reasons she still won’t understand, she wondered if it was due to the influence of a polygamous family like the one in which she was born into.
Though the marriage was one she didn’t enjoy, she however, stayed in it. Her freedom came in 2000 after her her husband died. But, before his demise, her late husband had come to become her real companion. According to Patience, she keeps missing him even many years after his death.
So far, the actress has three biological children and five adopted ones who currently bear her name.
